TaskOne G3 became available this month for $99.95 in red, tan, orange and black. The Bike tray and Urban tray retail for $69.95 and $79.95 respectively. The Urban tray contains a 8gb USB stick, mirror, tweezers, bottle opener, 2” scissors, pen, and a mini-LED light. The bike tray can be swapped out with the Urban tool tray, which is also part of the myTask line. Made for the cycling enthusiast or bike commuter, the polycarbonate myTask Bike tray houses 18 hardened bicycle specific tools. In addition to the G3 case, Task Lab also recently released the myTask line. Stress test of TaskOne with an iPhone5 from Addison Shelton on Vimeo. The knife and any other non-TSA friendly tools can be removed from the case in a few easy steps. All of the tools are extremely durable and even when pushed to the limit they will not damage the iPhone casing. On the back of the case, the aluminum buttons make tools more accessible and convenient to use. There are a plethora of tool options on board but the star of the show is the badass 2.5” knife, which is capable of sawing logs, piping or a 2x4. The 3 rd generation TaskOne case provides better protection and new tools in the form of a bottle opener, Allen wrench and knife to be locked in place during use and in storage. Ideal for the handy guy as well as the Jack Bauer type, the G3 is unlike any other case out there today. The tough as nails case is built from aircraft-aluminum and polycarbonate, that material along with the larger and stronger U-bands provides protection from any falls, scratches, and damage. The compact case packs 22 440C-grade hardened stainless steel tools, two kickstands, and a universal saw blade mount into a compartment beneath your iPhone. Task Lab’s TaskOne G3 is an “urban tool” that answers the question of what would happen if an iPhone case and a Swiss Army were mashed up.
